Poole Sports Council has been in existence for 34 years and throughout this time has endeavoured to represent all types of sports and sporting activities within the Borough of Poole and, where possible, help individuals and clubs with information concerning facilities and grants. In conjunction with the Borough of Poole Leisure Services, the Sports Council awards grants to clubs and individuals to assist them in their training and financial costs of attending competitions and events. It also awards certificates of commendation annually to individuals, teams, coaches and administrators who have furthered sport in Poole.
