  I currently undertake translations, transcriptions and provide proofreading and phone/conference interpreting services for these agencies.

I also provide simultaneous, whispered, ad-hoc interpreting / language tuition for private clients and voluntary organizations (NHS, YOIs, prisons, courts, Spanish and French delegations in European conferences.   Practice in simultaneous interpreting Spanish and French into English and English and French into Spanish in a dummy-booth. I gained experience and learned about real-life conference interpreting while practising myself and listening to the in-house interpreters.

  Part-time English teacher for 4 – 16 year-olds. I learnt different teaching techniques and gained more experience. My duty consisted of teaching English to young children. The emphasis was put on communication skills.
• Sept 1997 - June 1999 : Just English, Madrid
  Part-time English teacher for 9 – 30 year-olds. I was invited to form part of the closely-knit team of teachers. Support was mutual and new teaching techniques and experiences were shared among teachers.

Voluntary Work :

• 2005-present : Friends International
  I participated in intercultural events and helped international students adapt to the English culture by clarifying customs and helping them to practice English.
• July 1998 and 1999 : Liebenzeller Mission, France
  I formed part of a French-German team of voluntary workers who organized entertainment and special activities for young people and the elderly. Apart from the language practice benefit, I learned to work as part of a team.
• July 1998 : Christian Camps in Dorset
  I worked in a summer camp for young teenagers. I was a tent team member responsible for their general well being and was answerable to the Camp Director.
