A man threw a chair through a shop window at Waitrose in Dorchester

POLICE have issued an appeal after a man allegedly threw a chair through a store window.

It is reported that at around 8.30pm on Saturday August 20, a man threw a chair through a window at Waitrose in Tudor Arcade, police said.

The offender is described as white, between the ages of 25 and 35, and of slim build with a bald head. He was wearing black pants and no top.

The man then left the scene with a woman.

The agents are calling for witnesses to come forward.

Constable Chloe Wellington, of Dorchester Police, said: ‘This senseless act is not acceptable and we are carrying out investigations to locate the suspect.

“I appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to contact me.

“Furthermore, I am eager to hear from anyone who might recognize the man from the description given, or have information to help identify them.”
