Fundraisers set up to help finance the funeral of Dj Tom Roberts

Fundraisers have been set up to help pay for the funeral costs of famed Bournemouth DJ Tom Roberts.

The 21-year-old suffered fatal injuries outside the Tube on Old Christchurch Road on the morning of Saturday March 12.

Tom, who performed drum and bass DJ sets under the name “Nomad”, has been described as “one of the best up-and-coming artists the south has to offer”.

Now a nightclub event being held at the Bomo Bunker in Holdenhurst Road will donate all proceeds from the night to help with funeral costs.

Skanked Out, a drum and bass event, will take place in Bomo beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, April 1.

Holdenhurst Road nightclub manager Shelley previously told the Daily Echo: ‘Tom was an incredibly talented young lad with a bright future. I am so saddened by what happened.

“Tom loved Bomo. I gave him his first opportunity there and he came to train when we were closed.”

A GoFundMe has also been set up by one of Tom’s childhood friends with the blessing of his family, raising over £3,500 so far to help with funeral costs.
